1. Amid speculations on MS Dhoni's retirement from cricket, BJP leader and former Union Minister Sanjay Paswan said the cricketer may unite with BJP after retirement. "Dhoni is my friend, he is a player of world fame and there have been discussions on bringing him into the party fold," he stated.

2. Facebook Inc. is moving a step closer to bring in its long-delayed WhatsApp payments service in India after wrapping up an audit of related data practices, according to people familiar with the matter.

3. Leading fitness brand Reebok announces Bollywood actor and fitness enthusiast, Varun Dhawan, as their Indian brand ambassador. The brand recently also signed in Katrina Kaif as the new face. With Varun, Reebok launches its biggest campaign Sole Fury, that aims to disrupt conventionality and celebrates those who dare to #SplitFrom the ordinary.

4. The Delhi government has released ₹109 crore to all three MCDs in the national capital for dealing with dengue and chikungunya in the ongoing monsoon season. The funds have been released to the urban development department following the direction of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

5. The Delhi High Court issued a notice to the Central and Delhi governments in a petition seeking directions to them to link citizens' movable and immovable property documents with their Aadhaar number in an effort to curb corruption.
